HOW WE PROTECT DATA

Data Handling, Cookies and Account Security

We apply industry-standard encryption to all personal and payment data stored on our servers. Account passwords are hashed and salted — never stored in plain text. Cookies on sattamatk.

Encryption at Rest

All personal data, including your UPI handle and Paytm mobile number, is encrypted using AES-256 at rest. Encryption keys are rotated on a scheduled cycle and access is restricted to authorised operations staff only.

Cookie Policy

We use first-party session cookies to keep you logged in and third-party analytics cookies in anonymised form. No cookie links your browsing to your payment identifiers. You can clear or block cookies from your browser without losing account data.

Data Retention Period

Account and transaction records are kept for the period required under applicable Indian regulations, typically seven years for financial records. After that period, data is permanently deleted from our systems unless a dispute is still open.

Third-Party Sharing

We share data only with payment processors such as UPI network partners, Paytm and PhonePe strictly to complete your transactions. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers, and every third-party processor is bound by a data processing agreement.

Your Right to Access

You can request a full copy of the personal data we hold on you at any time. We will deliver it in a readable format within 72 hours of verifying your identity. Requests can be made via live chat, email or the in-account Data and Privacy tab.

Account Security Practices

Two-factor authentication is available on every sattamatk account and we recommend enabling it. Login attempts from unrecognised devices trigger an email alert to your registered address so you can act quickly if access was not yours.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and payment identifiers such as your UPI handle or Paytm number. We also log device type and IP address for security checks at the time of login.

Payment identifiers — UPI handles, Paytm numbers, PhonePe references — are encrypted with AES-256 at rest. They are used only to process your transactions and are never displayed to or accessible by other account holders.
